Después de un tiempo de paroncillo retomamos el blog para hacer un pequeño post de despedida de Taiwán, un país que nos ha dado mucho durante estos más de dos años, y que espero que os hayamos hecho llegar un poquito a cada uno de vosotros que nos leéis.

After a while we are here again in the blog to write a small farewell post. We have enjoyed Taiwan a lot for more than two years, and we hope we got Taiwan closer to each of you who read our blog.
Para empezar el recopilatorio unas vistas generales de Taipei, la ciudad que ha sido nuestra casa este tiempo, con su edificio estrella: el Taipei 101.

Aquí estamos nosotros al poquito de llegar, en una de nuestras primeras salidas de turismo en el zoo. Qué jóvenes e inexpertos se nos ve.... jeje. Y al poco de llegar, para hacernos compañía nos hicimos con nuestra mascota Sheldon. ¡Qué pequeño era cuando llegó a casa!
Here we are in this photo just arrived to Taipei, in one of our first turistic experiences in the Zoo. We look so young and naive... hehe. Soon after arriving we got our first pet to be with us in our life in Taipei: Sheldon. He was so cute and small!
Asia es distinta de muchas maneras, cada día nos encontrábamos con situaciones que jamás hubiéramos imaginado. Dónde sino aquí hubiéramos podido ver una exposición con 100 Doraemons tamaño natural, o ir a un restaurante donde no sólo te sirven la comida en una taza de váter, sino que también te sientas en una. También nos encontramos con unos 'muy a la moda' vestidos de panda, extraños objetos para mejorar la sonrisa... Un sinfín de situaciones sólo definibles como 'Asia Moments'.
Asia is different in many ways, and at the beginning we found a lot of 'asian situations' we would never imagined to experience. Here we selected some of them, like an exhibition with 100 doraemons, a restaurant where you sit and eat in a toilet, a fancy 'panda-like' dress, tools to make your smile nicer... A full lot of unexpected surprises!
Pero al final te acostumbras y disfrutas de todas las peculiaridades del lugar (excepto del tofu apestoso). De no haber venido hasta aquí quién sabe si hubiéramos podido disfrutar de langosta a la plancha, las salchichas a la barbacoa taiwanesas o del placer de hacer snorkeling...
But with time you get used to everything (but stinky tofu), and you enjoy the pleasures Taiwan offers. We enjoyed barbecued lobster, the famous taiwanese sausages, snorkeling in Kenting...
También hemos tenido tiempo de hacer turismo en esta zona del mundo, no nos podemos quejar. Hemos visitado lugares increíbles como Hong Kong, con su famoso Skyline, y algunos que nunca pensábamos que fuéramos a visitar, como Sydney (aunque no encontramos la calle Wallabee...). Y no nos quedamos sin visitar Japón, con un viaje espectacular a su capital Tokyo.
We also have had time to do some tourism in this area of the world, no room for complaints. We have visited amazing places like Hong Kong, with its famous Skyline, and some places we never thought we were going to be able to visit, like Sydney (but we did not found Wallabee street...). And we also visited Japan, with an awesome trip to Tokyo.
A parte de viajar a otros países, también hemos hecho turismo interior por Taiwán, visitando Kaoshiung, Yanmingshan, Kenting, Alishan, Penghu, Shifen, Fulong... y muchos otros lugares preciosos que esconde esta isla. Y cómo no, también lanzamos nuestra propia linterna.
Not only abroad, we have also done interior tourism, visiting Kaoshiung, Yanmingshan, Kenting, Alishan, Penghu, Shifen, Fulong... and many other beautiful hidden places that are in this island. And we could not go before setting up our own Skylantern!
No sólo hemos hecho viajes, también hemos recibido visitas. Muchas gracias a todos los que habéis cruzado el mundo sólo para vernos: padres, hermanos y amigos. Esperamos que hayáis disfrutado de vuestra visita tanto como nosotros, y allá dónde estemos tenéis una casa que es vuestra.
We have also had lots of visits. Thanks a lot to all of you who crossed the world just to visit us: parents, brothers and friends. We hope you enjoyed your visits as much as we did, and anywhere we are you will have a home in our place.
En estos dos años también nos ha dado tiempo a hacer buenos amigos aquí en Taiwán, con los que nos hemos ido de cena, de cervezas, de viaje a Yilan, Tainan y Taichung, al festival del dragón, al festival de las linternas, al karaoke, al laser... Han sido dos años de experiencias compartidas que nunca olvidaremos, os echaremos de menos, ¡pero seguiremos en contacto!
This two years we also have had time to make good friends here in Taiwan. We have gone for dinner, for beers, on trips to Yilan, Tainan and Taichung, we have gone the Dragon Boat Festival, to the Skylantern Festival, to the KTV, to the laser-tag... We will never forget the experiences shared during this two years, we will miss you all, and we will keep in touch!!
